Access Statemen

We are a Georgian town house in the centre of Shaftesbury with a level walk to the town centre, with its shops, pubs, restaurants, Gold Hill and Shaftesbury Abbey. We have 10 rooms over 3 floors; there are a 19 stairs to the first and 34 to the top floors but the stair case is wide with the treads at 9 inch (230mm) wide and –7inch (180mm) high. The car park is to the rear of the house with a level walk of 33 yards (30 mts) to the front door which has a 3 inch (80 mm) step; we have two ground floor rooms just inside the front door. Room 1, can be double or a twin, this is the room for the not so agile, the ensuite walk in shower has a seat and the wash basin is wheelchair friendly. Room 2, a double is also ensuite with a shower but there is a step which is 12 inch (300mm) high.

Access to the breakfast room from both the front door and rooms 1 and 2 is a short level walk; all doors are a min 32inch (800mm) wide.
